DIY Wednesday:Green Tea Toner for Oily Acne-Prone Skin

Today in DIY Wednesday, I’m going to share how to make Green Tea Toner for Oily Acne prone skin at home.



Why Green Tea Toner for skin?

Green tea is a well-known herbal drink around the world. Green tea is best known for its anti-oxidant properties and stimulant effects. Also it has polyphenols which help to protect skin from free radicals, toxins and skin cancers. Green tea has number of health benefits and best toner for skin. It helps to treat inflammations and maintain skin’s elasticity. Using Green tea toner regularly can reduce the size of pores and adds natural tone to skin and also adds glow to skin.

You will Need…
  • 100% Pure Green Tea
  • An air-tight container- to store


I’m using green tea toner twice a week and it really helps to reduce the size of pores and used to even my skin tone. Now moving to preparation,

Steps to Follow:

Step 1:
Add 1-2 spoons of green tea or green tea bag to 1 cup of hot water.

Step 2:
Allow the tea to steep 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 3:
Remove the tea bag from the cup. You can see green colored liquid left. Pour the liquid into an air-tight container.



Step 4:
Store the green tea toner in refrigerator and you can store approximately or maximum 3 days to 48 hours only.  You can store green tea toner in spray bottle too.

Directions:
  1. Cleanse your face with pour honey or your favorite cleanser/face wash. And wash it off and pat dry.
  2. Take some cotton and spray some green tea toner on the cotton.
  3. Apply or wipe skin with green tea toner in upwards direction.

This is an excellent toner for normal to oily and acne prone skin. Green tea helps to maintain younger looking skin, fight against acne, neutralizes the UV light and helps to rejuvenate skin cells making it look younger.

  4. I too make this toner n love it. i sumtimes mix vinegar in it wen i face acne n pimples!

    1. 20ml and 1 tea bag.. You can also choose accordingly to your usage.. Proportions don't make much difference!
