My Take on Garnier Color Naturals Cream Nourishing Permanent Hair Color:

My mother was using some herbal hair dye and it came up with results like very dry hair, hair fall etc. Also after the hair dye, hair looked very coarse and deep artificially black. So keeping all this in mind i bought Garnier Color Naturals Cream Nourishing Permanent Hair Color in black for her couple of months ago and I did it on hair for her. She completely likes the product a lot now!

Garnier Color Naturals Hair Color comes with 1.Cream hair colorant and 2.Developer milk and a hand glove.

Cream hair colorant comes in metal tube packaging with screw cap. The colorant is in light sandal cream color. Smells very strong and has gradations in it. It is the base for the hair color.

Developer milk comes in plastic bottle with wide screw cap. The developer milk is in milk white in color. Has bit strong smell. It helps to develop the hair color over the hair in gentle way.

The preparation is quite simple and easy. First you need to take a clean non-metallic bowl and add the cream hair colorant in it. You can use according to the gradations in the tube. Then add the developer milk in it and stir with a dye brush. Within no seconds the mixture gets ready! Application is too simple as like the preparation.

After the hair dye I could see my mother hair is well colored and the color is quite natural. The hair didn’t go dry or coarse. All the grey is covered and the hair looks silky with shine. The hair dye nourished the hair bit good. My mother didn’t experience any itching or scalp problems. It’s safe. It took 30 minutes to hair dye to develop onto the hair. The smell is very strong but after the hair wash it doesn’t stay longer. Coming to the downsides, the hair color fades from the roots on the 3 rd week onwards post the application. It’s very disappointing. Also the color fades bit bad on the hair root ends. My mother wants to reapply on the hair roots again in the 3 rd week. Also the colorant contains diaminodenzenes, resorcinol and ammonia. So if you are allergic to any of these you may skip it.

after 3 mniutes from preparation

Pros of Garnier Color Naturals Cream Nourishing Permanent Hair Color:
  • Grey coverage is quite good
  • Leaves hair silky and shiny
  • Doesn’t dry out the hair
  • Easy preparation and application
  • Natural looking black hair color
  • Non-drip cream formula and nourishes the hair
  • No itching or any side-effects

Cons of Garnier Color Naturals Cream Nourishing Permanent Hair Color
  •  The color fades from the hair roots soon
  • Contains diaminodenzenes, resorcinol and ammonia

Overall Verdict:

It is a good choice to make. It covers grey hair well and gives soft, silky and shiny look. Gives natural black hair color and nourishes hair. The color doesn’t long last as the product claims, it shows up greys from roots quite soon. The product does do the work well. If you like to try it, you can blow a try!

  2. What a great and thorough review, thank you! I stay away from drugstore hair coloring, though. My hair is so fine and so thin and so fragile that I only use henna.
