Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm Peach Blossom: Review, Swatch, LOTD

Hey Everyone!

Today I’m reviewing a product that my lips have been obsessed lately – Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm in Peach Blossom. I love color changing lip balms always and it is fun to use. This lip balm gives a lovely mild peachy sheer finish to my lips.

Price: Rs.99

Claims:
  • SPF 16
  • Enriched with pro vitamin E, known as anti-oxidant and jojoba oil, lips are continuously nourished making them so soft smooth and naturally gorgeous.

Ingredients:

My Take on Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm:

The lip balm comes in slim bright peach colored plastic twist up tube. I love the packaging a lot. It is so girly and comfortable to use all times and I prefer twist up tubes for lip balms. The lip balm is quite a clear stick which is in very pale yellow- like color which changes color after few seconds of application. The texture of the lip balm is light, not heavy and not-so buttery. Within seconds after the application the lip balm transfers mild peachy color to lips and moisturize the lips immediately. I love the peach blossom, where else the pink blossom another variant stain the lips bit hard. The peach blossom gives tint and lovely sheer to lips which suits well to pigmented lips too. If you like to try light color and one that doesn’t goes heavy on layering, then you can try this peach blossom.

The lip balm stays long for 2 to 3 hours and stains the lips a bit. The stain goes after an hour or so, though the stain doesn’t look odd. For the moisturization part this one doesn’t deep moisturize the lips. It does provide a decent moisturization to lips and you have to reapply lip balm every one hour. It is not lip savoir. But a fantastic product for the price!

Pros of Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm:
  • Very affordable
  • Convenient packaging
  • Provides lovely sheer coverage to lips
  • Stain stays about 2 to 3 hours
  • Pretty decent moisturization

Cons of Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm:
  • Not helpful for deep dry /chapped lips
  • Need to reapply every 1 hour

Overall Verdict:

Maybelline Color Bloom Lip Balm in Peach Blossom is a lovely lip balm which is a MUST-TRY product. It stains lips decently, average moisturization and provides superb lip tint. Thought it doesn’t heal the very dry/chapped lips, it does provide intense moisturization immediately after the application. The peach color and its finishing is subtle on lips and at Rs.99 it is a steal! Grab one for summer and stay moisturized!
