Maybelline WhiteStay UV Fairness Compact Powder: Review, Swatch

Hi Everyone!

Today I’m reviewing Maybelline WhiteStay UV Fairness Compact Powder which is one my favourite makeup product for the summer! I started using the compact powder 3 months back and I almost used ¾ of it. When I had hit the Lakme compact pan I was searching for one and i picked this right product at the right time.

Price: Rs.150

  • Vitamin C brightens skin instantly for visible fairness that’s lasts all day
  • Spf 18 UV filters protect skin from darkening
  • Skin stays fresh and flawless all day long
  • Hides dark spots and imperfections for flawless natural look
  • Oil-free powder
  • Dermatologically tested
  • Won’t clog pores
  • Allergy tested

My Take on Maybelline WhiteStay UV Fairness Compact Powder:

The compact powder comes in calcium white colored packaging with a opaque top section that contains a mirror beneath it and compartment at the bottom that contains a soft light puff in it. The packaging is very travel friendly and I like the soft puff which comfortable to use. The mirror is useful for doing touch-ups and for travel makeup routine. It is simple and user friendly. Also I like to try the Maybelline Dream Matte compact powder which has a swivel packaging and I find its user friendly too.

The packaging is simple and neat. The puff inside is soft and light to use, it does pick the right of amount of powder for the use. It doesn’t get rip it off after days of usage and I feel the puff is in very good quality

The powder is very light, smooth and soft in texture. It blends well in the skin in seconds and boosts up the look. But the powder isn’t finely milled enough. As it claims, it is dermatologically tested and it doesn’t clog pores. It gives light coverage, doesn’t give any cakey look but if it is over applied it does appear white cast a bit above lips and in the sides of forehead. I have combinational skin and the powder controls oil about 2 to 3 hours and I like the formula. I have to reapply after 2 hours of application to stay oil-free. Available in 3 shades, I picked the shade natural. Natural shade is right for my skin, it is bit light than my skin tone and perfectly matches my skin tone. Sometimes I use this powder above the lids to control the oiliness in the summer!

I used this powder HERE and I loved it!

GOOD about Maybelline WhiteStay UV Fairness Compact Powder:
  • Light weight and mild
  • This powder is very much suitable for everyday use
  • Soft texture and blends well
  • Doesn’t clog pores
  • Oil control is good for normal/combinational skin types
  • Affordable
  • Good of quality of puff and sturdy packaging

NOT-SO-GOOD about Maybelline WhiteStay UV Fairness Compact Powder:
  • Not enough to control oil for oily/very oily skin
  • Makes skin bit cakey and dry

Overall Verdict:
Maybelline WhiteStay UV Fairness Compact Powder is one of the best budget makeup product. It gives a neat finish, affordable and controls oil for about 2 to 3 hours. At this cost it is a fab product.

  6. I don't like maybelline brand itself. I had dream matte mousse which used to make my face look ghostly

  7. I will give this a try now.. Nice review Gowmi :)

  8. I've never heard of this I'm not sure we have it here. I'd love to try it though. Sounds like it would provide better coverage to my acne scars than a typical flesh colored powder.
