Skincare Monday: Lotus Herbals White Glow Micro-Emulsion Review and Swatch

Hey Everyone!

Today in Skincare Monday feature I’m reviewing Lotus Herbals White Glow Micro-Emulsion. I had already tried a day cream from this white glow range, once it got over I bought this moisturizer from same range. I got acne prone skin so I was looking for oil-free moisturizers and I liked this product a lot! Moving on to the review,

Price: Rs.245 for 40ml

What Lotus Herbals Says about the Product:

My Take on Lotus Herbals White Glow Micro-Emulsion:

The product comes in transparent glass bottle packaging with a silver colored cap. The mouth has a pump dispenser to dispense the moisturizer. I like the packaging very much, it is travel friendly and pump dispenser helps to take out the product without any mess! The top silver cap is good fit to the bottle. The pump dispenser is really thick and good. It ejects only certain amount of product. But most of the times the pump doesn’t work properly! It’s kind of irritating lately. It has very soothing fragrance which feels good on application.
The product has cream and lotion texture! The product inside the bottle looks creamy once it is used on face it spreads like lotion. I like the formula! It spreads even and quick without any residue. But on applying excessively it gives slight white cast. The consistency is runny and blends well. The moisturizer provides good hydration about 4 to 5 hours!

Coming to brightening part I don’t think it claims what is says! I don’t believe in fairness claims similarly the products doesn’t brighten or lighten my skin. I like the product for the hydration part! It even outs the skin tone well. I should say the product doesn’t suit my skin when I’m using a mild face wash/cleanser 2 months back. Product made my skin oily and sweaty. But then when I started using a strong foaming cleanser, I used this as moisturizer which doesn’t make my skin oily this time. So if you have oily skin you have to skip this one on summers! It suits better to monsoon and winter seasons. Also it can be used as regular moisturizer by combinational skin type as I’m using for past 1.5 months.

I didn’t experience any break outs with the product. I find it best for summers as it has SPF 25 and a bottle comes for around 2 to 1.5 months. Sad thing is if I stop using this product my skin turns oily and patchy so no permanent results with this one! Your skin will be hydrated only on using the product.

GOOD about Lotus Herbals White Glow Micro-Emulsion:
  • Availability
  • Spreads and blends easily
  • Well moisturize the skin
  • Doesn’t break me out
  • Spreads and blends easily
  • Soothing fragrance
  • Makes skin supple and soft
  • Gives oil-free finish to skin

NOT-SO-GOOD about Lotus Herbals White Glow Micro-Emulsion:
  • Not suitable for oily/very oily skin
  • No brightening/lightening in skin is seen
  • defective pump dispenser

Overall Verdict:
Lotus Herbals White Glow Micro-Emulsion is good for oil-free moisturizer lovers. The pump doesn’t work after few uses and not so good for oily skin. Makes skin supple and soft. Hydrate skin well under makeup.

Rating: 4.2/5 (-0.7 for defective pump dispenser and not suitable for oily skin)

  1. dis sounds so gud but nt for oily skin :( nice detailed review :)

  2. Of comparing this with lotus alpha moist which is better Gowthami??

    1. Hi Ramya,

You can try Lacto Calamine for normal to dry skin and Neutrogena Oil-free moisturizer for combinational skin!! Both works gr8!

  3. Strangely enough, though it says it is SPF 25 & PA+++ but in d ingredients list I cannot see a single sunscreen ingredient, chemical or physical UV blocker. Then how does it protect against d UV radiation?
