Review & Swatch : Maybelline Newyork Clearglow Shine Free B.B Stick Fawn

Hey Everyone!

Today I’m reviewing Maybelline –Clearglow shine-free B.B Stick with SPF 21 PA+++ in the shade Fawn.

Price: Rs.250 for 10g

Claims:

  • Provides 8 benefits,
  • Instantly brightens
  • Protects with SPF 21 PA+++
  • Evens the skin tone
  • Hydrates
  • Moisturizes, all day long
  • Conceals flaws, blemishes and redness
  • Controls shine all day
  • Freshens

My Take on Maybelline Clearglow Shine Free B.B Stick:

B.B stick comes in chubby stick twist-up and light-weight packaging. The packaging is very travel friendly and eases the usage. I like the packaging very much! B.B stick has light, smooth and non-greasy texture. The texture is very creamy, smooth and very soft. It glides very smoothly on to the skin surface and very easy to blend which instantly brightens up the skin in no seconds. It glides without any tugging onto the skin. The coverage is average to medium. It does conceal the blemishes and flaws to an extent. I use almost for under eye concealing.

My skin type is combinational, B.B stick keeps my skin shine-free for 1 to 2 hours only! I used the B.B stick for few occasions and I can see my skin turning oily within 2 hours! (Outcome may differs according to the skin type).

In other hand, the liquid version worked awesome for me. Liquid B.B cream doesn’t make my skin oily or patchy; it is just perfect for me! B.B stick evens out the skin well and I used as under concealer and it works fine for me.

Stick has good amount of sun screen SPF 21 PA+++, so you can skip the sun screen part (May this is the reason for my skin turning oily, I’m not sure). The stick is good for me at winters only! Summers, it makes my skin oily. As it’s available in only 2 shades and I went for Fawn for my skin tone. But it doesn’t work so well for me! The other shade radiance shade (lighter shade) might be too light for me.

Used the B.B stick for concealing the inner corner and for under eye circle!! Evens out pretty well...

GOOD about Maybelline Clearglow Shine Free B.B Stick:

  1. Sturdy Packaging and travel friendly
  2. Texture is smooth and soft
  3. Glides smoothly
  4. Blends easily and evens out the skin well
  5. Contains UVA and UVB protection
  6. Multipurpose product
  7. Conceals under eye circles well
  8. Coverage is medium to buildable
  9. Brightens skin
  10. Affordable
NOT-SO-GOOD about Maybelline Clearglow Shine Free B.B Stick:

  1. Available only in 2 shades
  2. Doesn’t controls oil
  3. Melt off the skin in humid weather
  4. Shine-free for 1 hr only
Overall Verdict:

Maybelline Newyork Clearglow Shine Free B.B Stick does stick up to its claims. It does evens, brightens and conceals skin well. But it melts off easily in humid climate and makes skin oily for me! I like using it for under eye concealing though! Blends easily, evens out skin and contain sun protection, it’s pretty good for college/working women.
Best multi-purpose product at a reasonable price!

Rating: 3.5/5

  10. I prefer the BB Cream over the BB stick, even though I have an oily skin. And I agree with Niesha, it can be great as an eye primer. Lovely eye swatch :)
