Review & Swatch : Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color in Beige Post

Hey Everyone!

Today I’m reviewing a gorgeous shade from Lakme’s Nine to Five range, -Beige Post.

Price: Rs.400

My Take on Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Beige Post:

Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Colors come in light pinkish metallic packaging which is absolutely attractive and quite sturdy. The bullet has slanted flat tip unlike the usual pointed tip. This flat tip is not my favorite, the pointed tip works well! Agree?

The lip color has very creamy and smooth texture which has bit weird metallic fragrance. But the fragrance isn’t strong so not to worry about that. The color pay off is very good and lip color is very moisturizing too. I like the way it glides on my lips, it takes 3 to 2 coats to give full opaque coverage. Does work well on pigmented lips but settles into fine lines after an hour or so. Lip color transfers easily after the application to coffee mug/cloths but once it gets settled, it stays about 3.5 to 4 hours. The formula is very good that it doesn’t dry out the lips for about 4+ hours, that’s wonderful.

The Beige post is pale brown lip color with loads of shimmers. On my slightly pigmented lips the color looks more light and pale for my skin tone. Yet it does cover the pigmentation. The lip color has too much slivery and brown shimmers in it, so I don’t prefer this shade for daily wear! Still I find the shade is too light for me and it suits well on cool, light skin tone very well!

Under Different Day Lights:

GOOD about Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Beige Post:
  1. Sturdy and attractive packaging
  2. Creamy texture
  3. Moisturizes and doesn’t dry the lips
  4. Color pay off is very good
  5. Wears well
  6. Good coverage

NOT-SO-GOOD about Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Beige Post:
  1. Has loads of shimmer
  2. Not an everyday wear shade
  3. Settle into fine lines

Overall Verdict:

Lakme 9 to 5 Lip Color Beige Post has pale brown color undertones with silver shimmers and has a wonderful moisturizing formula. Not a very good match for warm/medium to dusky/wheatish to medium skin tone. Suits well for cool, light skin tone, also not a daily-wear shade for college/working women. I like the formula and coverage. Yet not my shade, will try other shades from this pretty range.
