Lakme Youth Infinity Skin Firming Serum Review

After trying Pond’s Gold Radiance Precious Youth serum, I decided to try something very light and less oily. I like Pond’s gold radianceserum except the part it makes my T-zone area always oily! I have combinational to oily skin in summers, so when I looked for light-weight serum over online, I found Lakme youth infinity skin firming pretty good, and I’m using it for past 4 weeks.

My Take on the Product:

I use Olay night cream + Himalaya under eyecream after my cleansing routine. I don’t usually use a toner daily. I use ice cubes thrice or twice a week for toning part.

My skin concerns: I don’t have major skin issues related with acne. I get breakouts rarely and I have pigmentation problem and my skin is prone to dullness.

I use Lakme youth infinity serum right after my cleansing then I proceed with my night cream. The serum is very light in texture and gets absorbed into skin within no seconds. Further to be clear, it just melts into my skin’s surface leaving no trace of product behind. Serum is in pearl white color and when it come contact with skin, it turns out into pale pink color then melts as I blend and instantly brightens my skin. Serum has pleasant floral fragrance, which I find very refreshing! For application two full pumps are enough for entire face and neck. Using the serum alone each morning I wake up with moisturized subtle glowing skin. With night cream, the serum doesn’t go so well, so I did minus my night cream past weeks.
I also use the serum under my sunblock or BBcream in day time and the serum as a base makes my skin really soft and supple. It controls oiliness very good and keeps skin moisturized for 5 to 6 hours in day time. That’s pretty good hours in summers, right?

After using 4 weeks, the serum did moisturize my skin well deep, no more patchiness, and dryness. It added bit radiant and subtle glow to my skin. My skin feels a lot firmer and healthy. My dull skin got some collagen boost and I feel very happy about that part :)
It does help to reduce pore size but while on the serum application only. Yeah! It’s temporary. Coming to dark spots and blemishes, I have few freckles on nose and blemishes on chin, the serum didn’t work so well on them. Yet the serum contains must-have ingredients like retinol, an anti-ageing ingredient and collagen booster ingredient to improve skin elasticity and AHA. This is a best choice if you want to start-up with retinol-content product in your routine.

Pros:
  • Makes skin supple and well moisturize
  • Gets absorbs quickly
  • Gives glow to skin
  • Improves skin tone
  • Skin feels oil-free
  • Sturdy and hygienic packaging, so no product wastage
  • Makes skin firmer
  • Floral fragrance

Cons:
  • Slow results
  • Not very effective on dark spots
  • No permanent improvement in pore-size reduction
Rating: 4/5

Overall the serum did not fail me completely. It does provide smoother, supple, oil-free glowing skin but not very helpful on dark spots/blemishes and pore-size reduction.  Lakme youth infinity serum is a good choice if you willing to try something in your mid-20’s.
